Ohio State University Dept. of Astronomy contracted HEXTEK to supply eight lightweight blanks for the Multi-Object Double Spectrograph (MODS) instrument. Four 490 mm x 490 mm f/7 collimator blanks (pictured left) and four 632 mm x 372 mm f/1.2 camera primary blanks (pictured right) were fabricated. All eight blanks contain 3 mounting bosses to allow each blank to be mounted simply on 3-point mounts from the central plane of the mirror.
