1.5 meter Lidar telescope was installed in Tskuba, Japan in 1987. HEXTEK used existing optics but designed and built the optical athermal support system. This system keeps the 2 meter primary and secondary distance constant during transient temperature changes. The entire project was completed and installed in Japan in six months.
